The ins and outs of this event case
WeTransfer is a Dutch download service that allows users to send files that are too large to email free of charge. Approximately 25 million people use the service monthly and make about 70 million transfers together. At the end of 2019, they celebrated their 10th anniversary, naturally where their ‘roots’ lie, in the Netherlands. In de Hallen Studios Approximately 800 guests gathered for this spectacular evening.
Unique due to the 'history' of the company
Thought went into the planning of WeTransfer's 10th anniversary for more than a year. This was certainly reflected in every element of the evening. The theme 'I'll take your brain to another dimension' was incorporated into literally everything: from the decor to the activities, the entertainment, and, of course, the catering.
On the mezzanine, karaoke machines could be found, each with its own mini-bar. Nice detail: The sound of the microphones was audible INSIDE the toilets. There was also a dinner concept available in this space. In 10 minutes, people could enjoy a 10-course dinner in the dark. Furthermore, a sketch artist was present who drew portraits live on screen, and there was a large 'WePresent' wall showcasing all of WeTransfer's collaborations from the past 10 years. There were various performances, including a glowlight dance performance from the window section on the mezzanine. Additionally, there was a 'secret party' in the loft.
A Hallen complex-wide party
Perhaps the coolest thing about this event case was that the entire Hallen complex was combined. Prior to the party at the Hallen Studios, the Dutch team dined at Denim City at a beautiful long table in the creative center of the Hallen. A perfect match! Naturally, Hotel de Hallen was also utilized for the colleagues from LA.
