Caroline Peterse is Banquet Sales Manager at the Royal Industrial Grand Club, KIGC. This is the society and business club of Amsterdam. Caroline is responsible for all events in this iconic building on Dam Square in Amsterdam. 

The Royal Industrial Grand Club has approximately 1,500 members. In addition to internal events, conferences, receptions, and parties are also organized by various clients.

The building dates from 1916, and after various renovations, its original appearance has been well preserved. With the addition of modern technology, it retains the enduring sense of history.  

Special paintings hang throughout the entire building. These paintings tell stories of the past, and each room has its own unique atmosphere. 

You breathe the history

The boardroom is something special, as its look and feel is exactly the same as it was 100 years ago. Naturally, as explained, it is equipped with modern technology. The room is used for various meetings as well as for special dinners. 

The members also play an important role in the building. For instance, all the paintings, as well as the silverware and candlesticks in the venue, are gifts from the members. Some are more than a hundred years old, which contributes to the historical feel you get when you enter this building.
