To start with: who is Bourgonje?

We specialize in providing audiovisual technology. We do this for temporary events or for permanent applications in fixed installations. The use of components such as light, sound, and video can greatly enhance an event or space.

The long-standing collaboration with the National Maritime Museum is one that we at Bourgonje are very proud of. Since the reopening, we can truly speak of a well-oiled machine, with permanent facilities also installed by us in the building to ensure efficient operation when technical scale-ups are required for events.

The team at the National Maritime Museum has an unerring sense of when we need to be brought on board, ensuring that we understand the client's intentions from the very beginning. Together with the established team at the National Maritime Museum, we can then work constructively towards a successful event.

Recently, after two years of COVID-19, we were finally able to stage a real event again where the strength of Bourgonje truly shone through. Two fully loaded trailers of technical equipment, a serious crew, four stages with entertainment linked to the north, west, south, and east sides of the museum, and facade projection using high-end projectors. An organized preparation, setup, and operation totaling more than 30 hours was cleaned up just 4.5 hours after a successful event; as if nothing had happened.

But it wasn't just the client; we, too, got goosebumps every now and then. In that regard, not much has changed since 1982, and we might just be addicted to the thrill of being able to dot the i's and cross the t's during an event using technology!
