Culinary and culture merge into a local market
Starting March 5th, the courtyard of the Hermitage Amsterdam Museum will be a culinary paradise every Saturday from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, featuring stalls filled with delicious treats from the city. Dairy products from farmers around Amsterdam, organic vegetables from the nutritious clayey soil of the 'bolle es', honey from the Ronde Hoep, and razor-fresh fish from our own North Sea. But also pickles from Borneo Island, meat from the Stadstuin pigs, and fresh pasta from Amsterdam-South. Visit the Russian Avant-garde exhibition now and then immediately pick up some weekend groceries, so you will be fully recharged culinarily and culturally.

Launch on March 5
On Saturday, March 5, the first market opens in the courtyard of the Hermitage Amsterdam museum. Vegetables, fresh pasta, roasted chicken, fish, dairy, sourdough bread—almost everything. As much as possible from Dutch soil, and the closer to Amsterdam, the better. Almost all the makers will be at the market themselves, and they are happy to tell you about the origin, quality, and how they work.
Culture and culinary merge into a local market
And in between the market, we are of course also a museum, currently housing the largest collection of Russian porcelain. Be inspired by the impressive exhibitions for young and old. Feel free to bring the children or meet up with friends on our outdoor terrace. There is plenty to see, do, and taste!
