WesterLiefde, WesterUnie, and Westergasterras are joining forces and continuing together from March 1 under a new name: WestWeelde. After 20 years, this merger marks a new chapter for three iconic locations at the Westergas, combining forces to create an even stronger and more inspiring place for events, hospitality, culture, and nightlife.

WestWeelde, everything under one roof
For years, WesterLiefde, WesterUnie, and Westergasterras have been beloved destinations for festive, business, and cultural events. But with the arrival of the new name WestWeelde, the shared identity is further strengthened, and visitors are offered an even broader and more dynamic experience. Whether it is an atmospheric dinner, a lively party, a stylish wedding, or an inspiring conference – WestWeelde offers a unique, industrial setting in a green environment in the heart of Amsterdam Westerpark, with the familiar quality and hospitality guests have come to expect.

Creators of endless possibilities
The three different WestWeelde locations will be referred to, with a nod to the old names, as De Unie (formerly Westerunie), De Liefde (formerly Westerliefde), and Het Restaurant (formerly Westergasterras).
“By joining forces under one name, we can do even better justice to our unique locations,” says Alex Holmes. “WestWeelde stands for the rich diversity and creative energy that has characterized Amsterdam’s Westergas for years. We therefore remain a place where meeting, connection, and experience take center stage – both for business and leisure – all under one roof.”
WestWeelde is located at Klönneplein 4, directly opposite the iconic Gashouder, which is currently undergoing extensive renovation and will reopen its doors in mid-2026.
WestWeelde offers a wide range of possibilities for both private and business events at the car-free, yet perfectly accessible Westergas, situated precisely between Central Station and the A10-West ring road.
