Felix Meritis was founded in 1777 as a society of entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, and philosophers. Now, it is ready for the Twenties. This phenomenal venue has seven gorgeous event spaces with the Concertzaal at the core, which served as the inspiration for the Recital Hall of the Concertgebouw, also in Amsterdam. Another well-known classic is the Shaffyzaal, named after Dutch singer and actor Ramses Shaffy, whose theatre company was based in Felix Meritis in the ’60s and ’70s.
The stately Zuilenzaal suits perfectly for conferences, lectures, and product presentations. Its robust pillars, authentic bookcases, and gorgeous view overlooking the canal will surely give your event the wow-factor. Completed with advanced AV capabilities, the interior design brings a flash of modern into the building, highlighting its historical features in a unique way.
