With the brand new Red Space, With an intimate theater hall full of character and a fully equipped livestream studio, Droog once again opens its doors to makers, companies, and creatives who want to share their story on a grand scale.

Droog was founded in 1993 by Gijs Bakker and Renny Ramakers. They collected designs by young Dutch talents working with recycled and everyday materials. Droog presented itself all over the world but was rarely visible in its home city of Amsterdam. This changed in 2004 when Droog moved into the historic building on Staalstraat. This new location was intended as a hub from which the Droog mentality could be spread through exhibitions, publications, social events, and educational activities.

Droog recently converted one of the spaces into a multifunctional theater hall: the Red Space. With deep purple walls and a flowing composition of orange and pink curtains that fall from the ceiling to the floor, the Red Space evokes the intimacy of a small historic theater. It also features large windows overlooking the enchanting Fairytale Garden, making it a truly visual experience. Whether used for workshops, performances, or private gatherings, the Red Space is a unique setting where creative ideas flourish. (The Red Space can accommodate up to 70 guests).

In addition, Droog has recently started offering the option to live-stream from their studio!
