DamesDraaienDoor has been a household name in the entertainment world for over a decade. What started with one female DJ in a pub has grown into a collective of more than 40 talented female DJs and musicians. But what makes them so unique? And why do they manage to captivate audiences time and time again? In this blog, we dive into their story!
How it all began
About 12 years ago, founder René saw a female DJ playing in a pub. It turned out to be a huge crowd-puller. He decided to work with her, and soon more artists followed, including a saxophonist. That is how it became DamesDraaienDoor born, and since then the collective has only grown.
Energetic parties & atmospheric performances
What makes DamesDraaienDoor's music so special? Simple: they can play anything!
Unlike a band, the DJs work non-stop, without breaks. They have no fixed setlists, but sense the audience live and improvise together with the musicians. From pop and Top 40 to commercial dance, oldies, 90s hits, and Dutch singalongs—they play it all.
But DamesDraaienDoor is more than just party music. They also provide musical entertainment for ceremonies, dinners, and receptions. In addition, they handle show spots, launches, and opening shows. Therefore, they can put together a complete day- or evening program!
Collaboration with locations and partners
DamesDraaienDoor aims for long-term partnerships. They work closely with clients, venues, and technical partners to prepare every event down to the last detail. No surprises on the night itself—everything has already been discussed and coordinated! The reactions? Overwhelmingly positive! Not only regarding the performances themselves, but also the professionalism and stage presence of the artists. Clients appreciate their enthusiasm, polite communication, and eye for detail. Inspiration
The inspiration comes from the audience. No performance is the same, because the setlist is adapted on the spot to the atmosphere and the people on the dance floor. This ensures that every event is unique.
