Security of personal data and systems
Unique Venues of Amsterdam has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to secure the personal data of users against loss or unlawful processing. The personal data are saved by Wordpress in a MySQL Database, in which the password of each user is encrypted on the basis of the password, a hash and a salt string, by means of Portable PHP password hashing (see http://www.openwall.com/phpass/)
Access to the administrative portal by venue owners (members) is only possible with a login name and a password. There is also a plugin that blocks people who try to log in with an incorrect login name/password combination too many times. Any visitor to the website can request an offer via the website. This will automatically generate an e-mail which is sent to the applicable venue/venues, and the request will also be stored in the database of Unique Venues of Amsterdam. This will include the name, e-mail address and telephone number. It is not required to submit a telephone number.
To protect our systems and check for and prevent abuse or fraud, we save the access data of all of your visits to our websites in the form of log files. These log files consist of:
- The website from which you enter our website
- The IP address
- The time and date of access
- The http status code
- The information on the browser and the operating system you use.
Hostbeats (the hosting provider) stores the access data of each visitor in that way. The website itself also saves access data of members who want to log in and who use an incorrect login name and/or password.

This text and the ensuing principles can be amended by Unique Venues of Amsterdam at all times. Any modification will be reported on our websites. We therefore recommend that you regularly visit this page. The current privacy policy was most recently amended on 11 June 2021.
