De Duif
The Duif (The Dove) church is a hidden gem amidst the stately residences on the Prinsengracht canalside. The exceptionally elegant neoclassicist building and the modest appearance of this heritage site from 1857 conceal a surprisingly grand interior.
De Duif offers a wonderful setting for lectures, symposia, dinner parties, weddings and other events. Its adjustable acoustic ceiling makes the building particularly suitable for concerts and recitals. A grand piano is available on site. The building has a fully equipped space for conferences and meetings, as well as several additional rooms with service options. In addition, De Duif is a marvellous and unique wedding location. This former Roman Catholic church was restored in 1999-2002, with full preservation of authentic details and additions such as a heating system, washrooms and food preparation facilities.
